Srinagar, Dec 19 : Longest Surviving Top Hizb Commander Farooq Nali Killed in Kulgam Gunfight among 5 terrorists
In a major breakthrough for security forces, Top Hizb Commander Farooq Nali was killed along with other four terrorists in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
A top police officer told itv network that Farooq Nali was most wanted terrorist and was one of the longest surviving terrorist in Valley has been killed in a gunfight with police and security forces.
Farooq Nali was involved in many terror related incidents. He was behind many attacks on civilians as well on security forces, the officer said.
His death is a big achievement for police and security forces, the officer added.
A press conference was also held today at the 2 Sector Wuzur, Qazigund, Anantnag district, addressing the successful operation in Kader area of Kulgam, where security forces eliminated terrorists.
The press conference was attended by senior officials including, Anirudh Chowan 2 Sector RR, Javid Iqbal Mattoo DIG Jammu and Kashmir Police, SSP Kulgam & CRPF DIG
The operation, conducted jointly by the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF, resulted in the neutralization of terrorists who had been involved in various militant activities in the region. The security forces acted on specific intelligence and carried out a precise operation to neutralize the terrorists without causing harm to innocent civilians.
Anirudh Chowan expressed gratitude to the local community for their support in helping the forces successfully carry out this operation. He reassured the public that the security forces remain committed to ensuring peace and safety in the region.
Javid Iqbal Mattoo DIG Jammu and Kashmir Police, highlighted the professionalism and coordination of the security forces in the operation, stating that this successful operation sends a clear message that security forces will continue to take strong action against terrorism he also lauded the efforts of the joint forces and affirmed that operations to eliminate terrorism will continue. He emphasized that the forces will remain vigilant to maintain peace and security in the region.
