Haryana government has given a big blow to working women. It has been decided to charge fees for keeping children in the crèche centers run by the Women and Child Development Department of the state. Now, according to the family income shown in the Family Identity Card (PPP), Rs 50 to Rs 1,000 will have to be paid.
Creche centers have been opened in the state to provide a clean-healthy environment for the proper enrichment and development of children in the age group of 6 months to 6 years of working women.
Arguing to increase community participation in the centres, the Women and Child Development Department has taken the decision to fix the monthly fees. A bank account will also be opened in the name of the concerned District Program Officer for depositing the fees received from small children.
In the letter issued by the Director of Women and Child Development Department, it has been mentioned that fees will be used for running the crèche centers regularly. Fees on items like cleanliness, register, stationery, gas stove, cylinder filling, paper, bed sheets, towels for children, phenyl, broom, soap, hand wash, towel, bulb light, toilet and bathroom cleaner in the centres. will be spent.
A committee has been formed to keep the details of fees charged from crèche centres. This committee will give details of the amount received as fees and expenses from crèche centers to the Directorate every month. Earlier there was no provision for charging any fees in the crèche centers opened by the Haryana Government, now the department has taken a new decision to charge the fees.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal has announced to open 500 crèche centers in the state. Currently, 183 crèches are being operated in the state.
