The Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya may be postponed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hasn’t yet responded to the letter written by Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, president of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which urged the PM to visit the city and perform the ceremony.
Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, successor of the trust’s chairman Nritya Gopal Das, told The Daily Guardian, “We have not yet received a reply to the letter written to the Prime Minister. The ceremony can be performed during this month or else it will be delayed till October.”
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust meeting on 18 July will assess the progress of temple’s construction and delve into a financial assessment.
On 1 July, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust had written a letter to PM Modi in this regard. Preparations for a grand ceremony will start after a reply from the PM. On 25 May, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das President of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and Ram Janambhoomi Nyas told The Daily Guardian: “The court of Ramlala is a very sacred place. Everyone should come here to visit. The work of construction of Ram Janmabhoomi has also began.”
Mahant Nritya Gopal Das of the cantonment has been associated with the Ram Mandir movement since a long time, and has undertaken important portfolios. He was the President of Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas before being appointed as President of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust. The work of levelling the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex is going on since 11 May. Statues, stone pillars and number of fragmented statues of deities, carved Shivlinga and door frame etc. have been found near the site. A well has also been found below one of the places where the structure had three domes. Apart from this, many important relics associated with silver throne and Ramdarbar have been found from many places around the Ram Janmabhoomi.
