Before Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Jaipur, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma already allocated the departments to ministers on Friday. The party has shown more trust in new faces in the allocation of key departments as well. Although it took the Chief Minister a full 6 days for the division of departments, it is considered a good distribution.
The new BJP is exercising complete caution concerning the government. Whether it is the case of the Chief Minister’s selection or the formation of the ministerial cabinet. No questions of any kind have arisen. A positive message has gone out that an opportunity can come to the worker anytime.
Even yesterday, in the way the departments have been divided, more trust has been placed in new faces. The government in the state faces two major challenges. One is the law and order situation, and the other is to bring the state out of economic crisis.
The Chief Minister has kept the Home Department to himself as a way of conveying the message that no compromise will be made in the state’s law and order. The BJP had made the deteriorating law and order under the Gehlot government a major issue during the elections. Women’s safety is also a significant issue in Rajasthan.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal has also tried to improve law and order in the last month. Now that the distribution of departments to ministers has taken place, it is understood that there will be significant changes in the bureaucracy soon.
The Bhajan government also faces the second major challenge of improving the state’s economy. The Chief Minister has entrusted the responsibility for this to Youth Minister Diya Kumari. Diya comes from the Jaipur royal family. Although her political career is not very long, looking at her education and literacy, it is understood that she will handle financial challenges.
The Rajasthan government currently has a huge debt. Similarly, Kirodi Lal Meena, coming from the rural sector, has been given the responsibility of agriculture and rural development, raising the hopes of the villagers. It can be said that a complete exercise has been done in the distribution of departments. Diya Kumari has been given the Finance Ministry, sending a message to former CM Vasundhara Raje. The party has established Diya from the Royal family as a prominent leader in the state.
