Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann campaigned for AAP candidates in the Maharajpur, Chhatarpur Nagar, and Bijawar constituencies of Bundelkhand, Madhya Pradesh. Mann held roadshows in various places with AAP candidates and appealed to people to vote for the Aam Aadmi Party. During the roadshow, Mann assured people that the AAP government in Madhya Pradesh would work in the same manner as they did in Delhi and Punjab. He pledged to provide free electricity to the people and establish neighborhood clinics for medical treatment, along with improving government schools for children’s education. He emphasized that AAP’s promises are not just empty rhetoric, as they have fulfilled their commitments in Delhi and Punjab. In Punjab, more than 90% of households receive zero electricity bills. Mann also mentioned that they have opened nearly 700 neighborhood clinics in Punjab over the past two and a half years, where treatment has been provided to over sixty lakh people. They have started establishing Schools of Eminence in Punjab, and recently inaugurated one in Amritsar. Additionally, they have provided over 37,000 government jobs for the youth’s employment.
He stressed that the goal of their politics is to ensure that no one has to worry about two square meals a day.
“People should not be compelled to struggle for their children’s education and healthcare. Such essential services should be readily available for free,” he said. Mann criticized both the BJP and Congress, claiming that they loot the public for the first four and a half years after forming the government and then do some work in the last six months to deceive the people. He likened it to the British who looted India for 200 years. Similarly, the Congress and BJP are looting the country in five-year installments.
Mann stated that the Aam Aadmi Party had exposed corruption during its 18-year tenure in Madhya Pradesh. These politicians looted and drained Madhya Pradesh for their own coffers. Now, the people of Madhya Pradesh desire change similar to Delhi and Punjab, which means they want the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal.
