On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, women beneficiaries who received the first guarantee card and the first 500 rupee gas cylinder tied a rakhi on Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s wrist at the Chief Minister’s residence. Pooja Devi and Sarju Devi, residents of Mahapura in Jaipur, expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for various welfare schemes, including the Price Relief Shivir (price relief camps) and the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme.
Pooja Devi mentioned that they have benefited from schemes such as the 500-rupee gas cylinder, Annapurna ration kit, 25 lakh life insurance, 10 lakh accident insurance, and up to 100 units of free electricity.
Sarju Devi added that additional employment for 25 days under MGNREGA, an increase in the old-age pension to 1,000 rupees instead of 750 rupees, and decisions like these have provided them relief from inflation. She also mentioned that the schemes introduced by the Chief Minister have provided economic stability to their families, and these schemes should continue to benefit the general public.
Gehlot announced the extension of the 100% discount on bus fares until August 31 on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. During this time, Gehlot’s wife Sunita Gehlot and daughter Sonia Gehlot were also present.
