Delhi BJP Secretary and Lok Sabha candidate from New Delhi, Bansuri Swaraj, slammed the opposition alliance for corruption issues. “Yesterday’s rally by the I.N.D.I. Alliance was a gathering of corrupt individuals, with no consensus or connection with the common people, but merely propaganda to hide their corruption and divert the public from the main issues,” said Bansuri Swaraj.
BJP’s Delhi Media Head Praveen Shankar Kapoor said during a press conference that “yesterday we saw that this is not a political alliance but a fraudulent alliance that is deceiving others as well, like yesterday Congress got removed from the board with Arvind Kejriwal’s picture from the stage.”
During the conference, Bansuri Swaraj said that yesterday, instead of a rally in Ramleela Maidan, we saw a flop show of corruption; lots of empty chairs were seen while Rahul Gandhi was giving the speech, which indicates the rally did not receive public support. She added that the purpose of this rally was just to justify their corruption, and it is now clear that the I.N.D.I. Alliance is based on the self-interest of the partner parties. She further said there is no coordination on any issue or ideology in this alliance.
She added that the Aam Aadmi Party was saying that this rally was against the arrest of Kejriwal, while Congress claimed that this rally was not in support of any specific person.
She further said that no matter how much effort the leaders of the alliance make, the public knows that it was after ignoring 9 to 10 summonses that both Arvind Kejriwal and Hemant Soren had to be arrested by the ED.
During the press conference, Swaraj asked Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party five questions.
1. Congress tell people whether the income tax notices issued are correct or wrong ? Did you show the tax figures incorrectly or not?
2. Congress, tell people why it did not file income tax returns on time? Why did it declare reduced income?
3. Aam Aadmi Party, tell us whether Smt. Sunita Kejriwal is now officially the Chief Minister? Because now she is using the Chief Minister’s chair to give press messages?
4. Aam Aadmi Party, tell us why your leaders are not getting bail in the liquor scam case?
5. When summoned nine times, why didn’t Kejriwal appear? Did he want the case to linger until the elections so that he could play the victim card on arrest?
