In a significant development in Bangladesh’s MP murder, the probe has unraveled horrifying details regarding the disappearance and suspected murder of Anwarul Azim Anar.

Who has disappeared since May 13 in West Bengal’s capital, Kolkata.

According to the investigation’s findings, the MP was allegedly killed in his city’s flat, where his body was chopped and then disposed of using multiple plastic bags.

Further, the probe findings also reveal that his body was dismembered in one of his washrooms.

Later, the group allegedly skinned the body, removed its flesh, and shredded it to prevent its identification.

Then they packed its remains into plastic bags and cut the bones into small pieces.

In addition, the police also suspect that the murderers also separated flesh from the bones and mixed it with turmeric powder to delay decomposition.

Moreover, in an attempt to remove evidence, the washroom was meticulously cleaned with acid before emptying the apartment.

What was the motive behind Azim’s killing?

According to the police, all the perpetrators reportedly came from Bangladesh, and after completing their task, they returned.

Further, some of them even checked into a hotel in Chinar Park before the murder and then, on May 17, left India.

Later, the police also learned that Azim’s murder was planned a month before. It also suspects that the MP, on that fateful night, might have been lured into a New Town flat by a woman and then murdered by killers.

Thus, pointing towards the angle of contract killing.

As for the suspects, so far, they have zeroed in on the main suspect, Md. Akhtaruzzaman (Shaheen). Who is the younger brother of the Kotchandpur Municipality mayor in Jhenaidah.

According to the reports, Shaheen had allegedly paid contract killers 4 crore taka to carry out the murder.

When did the search begin?

Meanwhile, the search for the missing MP started when Baranagar’s resident, Gopal Biswas, who happened to know the politician, reported it to the nearest local police.

According to Biswas, the MP came to Kolkata for medical treatment on May 12, and at that time, he stayed at his house.

On the next day, Anar left his home in the afternoon to see the doctor and was informed that he would come to his home for dinner.

Since May 17, his phone has become unreachable. Thus, reporting a missing complaint the following day,
