On the first day of the session in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, during the swearing-in ceremony, Hawa Mahal MLA Balmukund Acharya expressed strong objection to Congress leader Shanti Dhariwal’s statement, “Bhajan mandali has arrived.”
In response, Balmukund Acharya said, “Dhariwal’s intellect has become corrupt in old age. Sometimes he says this is a man’s state. Now he is saying the “bhajan mandali” has come. Why do you have so much objection to bhajans? Bhajan is a good thing…If the bhajan mandali has come, it will sing bhajans, do good deeds, bring together all 36 communities, win everyone’s trust, and develop the state.”
Legislator Balmukund Acharya directing his attack towards Dhariwal, said, “You should be ashamed. An old man, an elderly man, at this age, should chant the Namokar mantra. Chant the name of Ram. Worship God. Should not speak such dirty words. These people have come to the assembly with black strips. What message do you want to convey? It is an atmosphere of joy, an atmosphere of happiness. A good government is in place, and an era of prosperity is going on. The public has deleted their government. The divine-like public has deleted you. After that, they are opposing by tying black strips.”
On Wednesday, MLA Balmukund Acharya arrived at the assembly from Hawa Mahal with a mace in one hand and a coconut in the other.
It is worth noting that as soon as the proceedings of the House started, on Wednesday, opposition MLA Shanti Dhariwal suddenly objected to the calling of the assembly session and expressed his objection. Dhariwal said that this is not a bhajan mandali that suddenly says, “Come for bhajans this evening.”
He added, “Under Rule 302, whenever the first session is called after a general election, the beginning of the first session of the Legislative Assembly is according to Section 167 of the Constitution from the Governor’s address. However, you called the assembly session by giving notice within 24 hours.”
