According to reports, rapper Badshah was fined ₹15,500 for driving on the wrong side of the road in Gurugram on December 15. This has caused a controversy. According to reports, the incident happened when Badshah was on her way to play for Punjabi musician Karan Aujla at a concert. However, these allegations have been denied vehemently by Badshah, who claims that he does not even own a Mahindra Thar car.
According to reports, Gurugram Traffic Police issued a fine over ₹15,500 for the alleged wrong side driving of Mahindra Thar which is part of Badshah’s convoy. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Virender Vij in Gurugram clarified that the Thar was under the name of Dipender Hooda from Panipat and was being driven by him himself. Charges for dangerous and wrong-side driving were included in the fine.
Denying his involvement in the claims, Badshah took to Instagram Story. He said, “Bhai, Thar toh hai bhi nai mere pass, na mai drive kar raha tha us din. I was being driven in a white Vellfire, and we always drive responsibly.” His post was accompanied by Manna Dey’s song Ae Bhai Zara Dekh Ke Chalo from the classic film Mera Naam Joker.

Furthermore, Badshah’s management issued an official statement regarding these allegations. The statement cleared that Badshah was a passenger in a white Toyota Vellfire, provided by Bakshi Transport Service, and driven by a professional driver. The statement also elaborated that the transportation for the event involved multiple vehicles, such as three Toyota Innova Crystas, to ensure the safety and efficiency of the crew’s travel.
It stressed that no vehicle was operated by Badshah in that event. He had received no summons of fine of any kind in connection with any vehicles linked with him and his crew. In that context, Badshah’s crew vehemently refuted allegations about him, insisting such claims against him were wholly baseless.
