In Jalandhar, the murder of deputy superintendent of police, Dalbir Singh Deol, has shocked many. As per police, a autorickshaw attacked him with gun after distressing altercation. Autorickshaw driver, Vijay Kumar, attacked deol, DSP turned fatal when Deol was allegedly shot in the head three days ago. The driver, known to struggle with drug addiction, reportedly seized Deol’s service pistol during the dispute.
Commissioner Swapan Sharma of the Jalandhar police shared that the altercation began when the driver refused to transport Deol to his village, leading to a scuffle that escalated tragically.
Auto driver Kumar was swiftly arrested based on CCTV evidence that captured the incident. Deol’s body was found on a road in Basti Bawa Khel, just eight kilometers from his native village.
Further investigation, including examining nearby CCTV footage, is underway to unravel the circumstances surrounding this distressing loss.
