German luxury car manufacturer Audi has launched the new Audi Q3 Sportback in the Indian market. The Q3 Sportback with its coupéshape is the first compact crossover of the Audi brand in India. The SUV is now available at price of Rs. 51.43 lakh, ex-showroom which makes it the most expensive model in the Q3 range.
Design
Apart from an edgier looking rear, the new Audi Q3 Sportback also looks sportier when compared to its SUV counterpart due to S-line Exterior package. Some of the features on the exterior include 18-inch 5 spoke V-style alloy wheels, LED headlamps, LED rear combination lamps with dynamic turn indicators and a high gloss styling package. The car comes in five colour options – Turbo Blue, Glacier White, Chronos Grey, Mythos Black and Navarra Blue. It also offers two interior colour options – Okapi Brown and Pearl Beige.
Interiors
The feature list on the Sportback is pretty much similar to the standard Q3. You get a 10.1-inch MMI Navigation plus with MMI touch, Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, a premium sound system with 10 Speakers, wireless charging, 2-zone climate control and a frameless auto dimming interior rear-view mirror. But that’s not all, features like Ambient lighting package plus with 30 Colour options Power adjustable front seats with 4-way lumbar support, Seat upholstery in leather/leatherette combination and front door scuff plates are also provided on the car. For ease of use the SUV is also laden with a gesture-controlled tailgate which can be operated electrically for opening and closing.
Engine
The Q3 Sportback runs on a 2.0 L TFSI petrol engine with quattro all-wheel drive system. As is the case with all Audi internal combustion engine cars sold in the market, there’s no Diesel engine option here as well. The petrol mill Generates 190 hp along with 320 Nm and is mated to a 7 Speed S tronic transmission. Audi claims the car can go from 0-100 kmph in 7.3 seconds. You also get the Audi Drive Select system here which lets you choose between various drive modes which alters the character of the car in many ways. Other dynamic highlights include a progressive steering, comfort suspension, paddle shifters and a cruise control system with speed limiter.
Safety
The Q3 Sportback is decently-specced when it comes to Safety features. Prominent amongst these are Hill Start Assist, 6 Airbags, Tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat anchors and top tether for outer rear seats and Anti-theft wheel bolts & Space saving spare wheel.
