Artists showcases their level of creativity

Since time immemorial Indian art has been providing the world with awe inspiring artworks that have captivated the global audiences. Art and culture have always served as custodians of India’s opulent cultural legacy which includes vibrant Indian architecture, sculpture, paintings and other art forms.
In line with the efforts of our forefathers, art curator, Priyanka Banerjee, has also made a humble endeavor to glorify India’s opulent art and culture through zealous and enthusiastic artworks of artists from all over India. It stands testimony to the fact that the artists have taken the opportunity to take our cultural heritage to the next level enthusiastically and have come out with exquisite artworks. The exhibition titled ‘Panorama 22” witnesses different artists celebrating creativity and freshness through their artworks.
Eminent sculptor and former Principal of the Government College of Art and Craft, Biman Bihari Das, has bagged many state and national level award including the fourth civilian award, the Padma Shri. Untouched by name and fame he still sculpts rocks and other metals into exquisite pieces of timelessness. In this exhibition, he displays some of his signature style sculptures of unmatched beauty. His exquisite sculptures reflect his passion and experience in the field of art.


Artist Amit Kumar from Noida makes an endeavor to highlight the need for survival of the tigers through his art works. Post-Independence, hunting and poaching   have pushed the royal beast on the verge of extinction. However, with the growing awareness among people along with the efforts made by the wild life conservationists, their numbers have increased. The artist expresses his love for the wild beast and tries to make people aware about their importance in maintaining an ecological balance.
Artist Meghna Agarwal, from Noida, U.P, has incessantly worked to create awareness on the global warming and its adverse effects on Mother Earth.
One of her artworks based on the mighty Himalayan range is very exquisite and has been executed with opulent hues. Her enamel artworks are equally evocative and express a concern on Mother Nature. Artist Gaurav Dahiya’s artworks are in absolute sync with Mother Nature because it is the still silence of Nature that the senses are in sync and the strong composition comes out. Artist Mridul Chakraborty is smitten by the old world charm of the city of joy. Thus, dilapidated and heritage buildings, old alleys find expression in his paintings. He has depicted their elegance in an abstract style with watercolors.
Artist Naseem Khan uses vibrant hues to give shape to his figments of imaginations. Mother Nature finds manifestations in his mindscapes seamlessly and he does this using bold and spontaneous strokes.   Artist Nilay Sarkar’s crisp and fresh strokes found in his paintings speak about his individual style and the command he has on different mediums.
Artist Seema Parveen from Meerut, U.P,   showcases intricate artworks based on traditional pottery done beautifully on paper with water colours.  Artist Tapos Das from Kolkata has done a brass sculpture on the Divine Goddess Durga. The expressive eye of the goddess is worth watching.
Artist Pankaj Bharti has devised a unique style of painting, by applying the impasto technique that adds a new dimension to his works. His subtle use of colours has a soothing effect on the human psyche. Artist Rohini Jain’s artwork over the years reflects her love for nature, along with her connects with birds has formed an integral theme of all her paintings. In the fast-changing landscape of urban life, these chirpy creatures often serve as a reminder about the fragility, and yet enthralling beauty of nature. The family-bonding of our feathered friends have inspired quite a few of her paintings.
