In the early hours of Monday, an attempt at infiltration was thwarted along the Line of Control (LoC) in the general vicinity of Degwar Terwan in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch. They claimed that a search operation was in progress nearby. According to PRO (Defence) Jammu Lt Col Suneel Bartwal, contact was made by ambush in the Garhi Battalion, Poonch, around 2:00 am. Two people were seen crossing the line of control in the general area of Degwar Terva.
In the firefight one terrorist seen dropping, second seen moving towards Pintu Nala. Search operation is underway in the area, he added.
