Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the lead is one of the best Hindi feature film to release after 2019. Satinder ‘Pinky’ Dahiya is played by Arjun Kapoor, a Haryana based police officer who meets Sandeep Walia (Parineeti) a finance expert works for Parivartan Bank. Sandeep ( Sandy) runs to save her life as her boss wants her to be dead. Now how the two go through the situations and paths is seen in the movie, which is depicted beautifully.
The film uses the words “head over heart” many times. Arjun has made one of his best decisions by doing Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar. The film has some hard hitting scenes which have been aesthetically filmed, filled with black comedy. Anil Mehta is brilliant with his cinematography which matches the screenplay and story. There are two additional characters who use dark humour are Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta. Ragubir plays the role of a senior school teacher who is misogynistic and does not believe that women can have a view point to discuss finances. Parineeti Chopra nails in every scene with her responses to Raghubir.
Neena gets up in the crowd and starts dancing in order to help Sandy with some steps, she does every scene with perfection. Bakul Baljeet Matiyani and Paramita Ghosh have edited the movie brilliantly. The art directors and department also deserve appreciation for visually creating the movie authentically. The climax scenes have brought out Arjun Kapoor which no director has been able to extract out of him till now. This is the return of the Ishaqzaade pair in a more mature way
