On the third day of the search operation in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, security personnel are pursuing terrorists who have taken cover in the jungles of Dudu Basangarh. With the use of an unmanned aerial aircraft, law enforcement officials are searching the thick undergrowth where terrorists are thought to lurk.

ADGP Jammu Anand Jain, accompanied by senior officers from the CRPF and Indian Army, has personally arrived at the scene to oversee and direct the search operation. The primary objective remains the tracking of two groups of terrorists, comprising a total of six to seven individuals, as confirmed by the Jammu & Kashmir Police.

Meanwhile, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) for the Udhampur-Reasi range, Rayees Mohd Bhat, stated on Monday that security forces have intensified their intelligence efforts and continue the search operation for the terrorists. He emphasized the deployment of drone surveillance and ongoing tracking of the infiltrated group.

In a tragic development on Sunday, Village Defence Guard Mohammad Shareef lost his life in a gunfight with the terrorists. Shareef, a resident of Lower Ponar, Basantgarh in Udhampur, sacrificed his life in the line of duty.
