The Range Anti-Narcotics Special Operation Cell at Phase-7 Camp in Mohali apprehended 02 accused involved in drug trafficking and seized 22 kilograms of heroin. Providing details, Inspector Harvinder Singh, in charge of the Range Anti-Narcotics Special Operation Cell Camp in Mohali, mentioned that during a patrol with a police party in Sohana Tobe village, a black motorcycle was seized. The motorcycle rider, throwing a plastic bag down, attempted to flee. When the police party caught him and asked for his name, the motorcycle driver identified himself as Bhura, a resident of Maansi Nagara village, Company Bagh police station, Aligarh district, near UP, currently a tenant via Guru Sahib village, Sohana, Mohali district. The youth sitting behind stated his name as Suraj Bharti, a resident of Kamalpur, Quarry police station, Aligarh district, UP. The landlord, Guru Sahib village, Sohana, Mohali district. A search of the bag revealed 22 kilograms of Doda (heroin). A case under the NDPS Act was registered at the Sohana police station in Mohali. The suspect was arrested, presented in court, and remanded for one day.” The Range Anti-Narcotics Special Operation Cell, stationed at Phase-7 Camp in Mohali, successfully apprehended two individuals involved in drug trafficking, concurrently seizing a substantial 22 kilograms of heroin. Inspector Harvinder Singh, overseeing the operations at the mentioned camp, relayed the intricate details of the operation.

The incident unfolded during a routine patrol in Sohana Tobe village, where the law enforcement team encountered a black motorcycle. The rider, upon realizing the presence of the police, hastily disposed of a plastic bag and attempted to flee the scene. The police managed to apprehend the fleeing motorcyclist and sought to identify him. The individual, self-identified as Bhura, claimed residence in Maansi Nagara village, under the jurisdiction of Company Bagh police station in Aligarh district, Uttar Pradesh. Interestingly, he was currently residing as a tenant in Guru Sahib village, Sohana, Mohali district. The second individual involved in this suspicious motorcycle ride was identified as Suraj Bharti.
