N Sanjay, the head of the Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department, claimed on Sunday that Chandrababu Naidu was the primary conspirator in the AP Skill development scam and that Naidu had orchestrated the entire scheme while serving as Chief Minister. N Sanjay declared during a press conference in Delhi that the scam involved 371 crores of rupees in government funds. The government of the AP gave this money to Siemens as a nomination. Only on the basis of nominations, money was leaving government hands.

“Out of the Rs 371 crores given, Rs 241 crores were also going to other private companies which was also pointed out by ED. Naidu in his capacity influenced and orchestrated and mooted the whole idea and this was also figured by CID and ED as proceeds of crime,” he added.
He further explained the details of the AP Skill development scam.
“The whole scam happened because of the projection of the 90:10 formula, Siemens says we have nothing to do with all this as we are headquartered in Germany. Funds were given to several people who projected training specifics. Chandrababu Naidu was the prime conspirator in this scam. He (Naidu) and his then-skill development minister gave false projections before the Council of Ministers,” he said.

Former Siemens MD Suman Bose denied the accusations made by the Andhra CID, stating, “No corruption occurred. One of the project’s best pieces is this one. Throughout the entire project, there was complete transparency. There was no phony business. They must present evidence of fake invoices to the court. How can you claim that the project’s components were fake if everything was completed and delivered? How could it be delivered otherwise? The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court in Vijayawada sentenced Naidu to judicial custody on September 10 for a period of 14 days, or until September 23, in relation to an alleged Skill Development Corporation scam.
