Amritpal mocks Punjab Police in social media video

Elevan days after the manhunt, the first video message of Amritpal Singh is out in social media.
In a video message, the fugitive leader said, “I am going live for the first time since 18 March. If the government wanted to arrest me, they could have done it while I was at my house, but God has saved me. My arrest is in the hands of the Almighty.”
Amritpal said that he is perfectly fine. “The government has forced people into jail. The administration has sent our colleagues to Assam. NSA has been imposed on people.”
“This is oppression. It is our communal right to raise our voices against it,” said Amritpal said, adding that for a long time, our community has been getting entangled on small issues.
Amritpal also urged the Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib to call Sarbat Khalsa on Baisakhi. Amritpal said that Sikh Sangat of India and abroad should participate in Sarbat Khalsa and there will be a discussion on the issues of the community. Amritpal also spoke in the video.
Amritpal’s video message is fresh. The leader wore a shawl—the same one that was seen in the hands of Papalpreet Singh. Amritpal has given ultimatum to Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh of Shri Akal Takht Sahib. In fact, Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh on Monday gave the Punjab government an ultimatum to release all Sikh youth in 24 hours. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann reacted strongly to this. He also advised Jathedar to stay away from politics. Meanwhile, unconfirmed sources observed that Amritpal is said to have returned to Punjab and managed to evade arrest on Tuesday yet again. As per sources he plans to surrender at the Golden Temple.  Amritpal was said to be traveling to Amritsar through Hoshiarpur when the Punjab Police was tipped off about his presence in the area yesterday. He managed to escape via a checkpost late Tuesday night.
