On Monday in New Delhi, the National Cooperative for Exports Limited (NCEL) will host the “National Symposium on Cooperative Exports,” where Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah will give a speech. In addition, Amit Shah will unveil the NCEL logo, website, and brochure and hand out membership certificates to NCEL members, according to a statement released on Sunday by the Ministry of Cooperation. According to the statement, the symposium will cover a wide range of topics, including how cooperatives can be channeled for connections to export markets, the potential of Indian agri exports, and opportunities for cooperatives.

More than 1,000 people, including cooperative members of NCEL, representatives of various cooperative sectors, including National Cooperative Federations, representatives of various countries’ embassies, and officials from the federal and state governments, will attend the National Symposium on Cooperative Export. A significant portion of the cooperative’s members and stakeholders will also sign up online. Shah emphasized the need to create a multi-state cooperative society at the national level to serve as an umbrella organization for exports by the cooperative sector, which led to the creation of the NCEL.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the able guidance of the Minister of Cooperation, the Ministry of Cooperation has taken 54 initiatives in the last 27 months to strengthen the cooperative movement in the country, said the statement.
Setting up a national-level Cooperative to promote export through cooperatives is one of such initiative which is an important step towards realising the Modi Government’s vision of”Sahakar se Samriddhi”.
