At the War Memorial at Headquarters Directorate General Assam Rifles in Shillong, Meghalaya, on Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah placed a wreath. Shah wrote, “The Bravehearts of Assam Rifles have given unmatched sacrifices for the security of our country,” taking aim at ‘X’. placed a wreath in memory of the martyrs who gave their lives while performing their duty at the Headquarters Directorate General Assam Rifles War Memorial. The Union Minister is visiting Meghalaya and Assam for three days. He had earlier on Thursday opened the Assam Rifles Headquarters at Laitkor in Shillong, which houses the Cyber Security Operations Centre.

Amit Shah said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bharat is taking a quantum leap towards digitalization.
He said that the Modi government is committed to creating a cyber-successful society by making the internet secure for every citizen.
The Cyber Security Operations Centre will strengthen the cyber security posture of the Force by carrying out real-time monitoring of the network, mitigation of external threats and prevention of cyber violations in the Assam Rifles Wide Area Network (ARWAN).
The Cyber Security Operations Centre has been equipped with a state-of-the-art network and data monitoring devices to provide 24/7 services. The centre is the first of its kind among CAPFs.
