Eyeing the 2024 polls, the BJP in Haryana has decided to organise a mass outreach campaign across the state to mark the completion of nine years of the saffron BJP-led government, and in this series, the ruling BJP conducted the initial rally in Sirsa Lok Sabha. Amit Shah addressed a rally in Sirsa, the bastion of the Chautala family, in preparation for the forthcoming polls.
The rally was conducted as part of a planned two week long campaign. Through his speech, he tried to woo the Jat vote bank as well to bring the ongoing feud with the players and farming community to an end, which was like killing two birds with one stone. It is a notable fact that the Jats, who constitute the largest vote bank in Haryana, and the BJP are at loggerheads over several issues, which also cost huge political losses to the party, adding to its woes.
Besides, the Jat community emerges on top in the Sirsa constituency in terms of the maximum number of voters. The Jat community also emerges on top in terms of its involvement in farming occupations, and the farmers have been at loggerheads with the government for a long time in the state. Presently, the wrestlers are eyeball to eyeball with the government these days pertaining to sexual harassment allegations against BJP MP Brijbhuashan Singh to some extent, and the government’s stand has annoyed the wrestlers, who hail from the Jat community. In wake of the ongoing tussle with the Jats, Amit Shah left no stone unturned to woo the Jats so that the widened rift among both factions could be brought to an end ahead of the polls in Haryana.
Applauding the efforts of the players and farmers, he said that they continue to bring laurels along with feeding the country, respectively. Being a small state, Haryana’s youth sacrificed their lives while serving in the army to keep our country safe. Besides, by conducting its first Lok Sabha rally in Sirsa, the BJP also gave an indication to its ally, the JJP, that the BJP can run the government on its own, as Sirsa is the home turf of the JJP.
Notably, the party aims to cover all Lok Sabha constituencies in the state and hold more than 100 gatherings ahead of the parliamentary elections. It is pertinent to mention that the party had scheduled 13 major events in Haryana until June 30 to commemorate the end of PM Narendra Modi’s nine-year tenure as Prime
Minister.
