The 25th meeting of the Eastern Zonal Council meeting is being held by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the West Bengal Secretariat, Nabanna, on Saturday.
Meanwhile, in the meeting Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, and state ministers of Odisha are present.
Moreover, in the meeting interstate matters will be discussed and from 11 am to 1 pm meeting will be held at the Nabanna Sabhaghar.
However, Amit Shah was welcomed by Mamata Banerjee along with chief ministers, and security forces officials. They are also attending the meeting in Howrah.
Earlier on Friday, Home Minister Amit Shah reached West Bengal. After reaching West Bengal Shah held a closed-door meeting with BJP leaders at the party state office in Kolkata. In the meeting, Shah took stock of the law and order situation in the state.
Furthermore, Shah received a warm welcome from BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar, Leader of the Opposition in the Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari, and state minister Sujit Bose.
