Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav held a meeting with the Backward Class Commission in Lucknow. The discussion revolved around the caste-based census and preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Members from the Kashyap, Nishad, Bind, and Machhua communities participated in the meeting.

The attendees raised slogans in proportion to their representation, emphasising the importance of readiness for the upcoming elections. Along with this, Akhilesh Yadav fiercely attacked the BJP government during the meeting. Talking to the media after the meeting, Akhilesh Yadav stated that the BJP government has betrayed the backward, Dalit, and minority Muslim brothers. On the issue of caste-based census, he said that after the caste census in Bihar, all the parties in the country are inclined towards conducting a similar exercise. It is possible that, as elections approach, the BJP might also promise a caste-based census, but now people have understood that the BJP spreads propaganda.

Akhilesh Yadav spoke candidly about the conflict between Israel and Hamas. He asserted that the Samajwadi Party does not support any war. “If anyone dies, we are opposed to it. We do not support any act of terrorism,” he said. He also mentioned that currently, there is no talk of inflation in the country. If a flag of Israel is raised, it can be used to dupe the public. The people of the country and Uttar Pradesh are going to wipe out the BJP this time.
In the wake of the commotion surrounding JPNIC (Joint Parliamentary Network Interface Card), a dispute arose between Akhilesh Yadav and Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak when Pathak added ‘servant’ to his profile. In response, Akhilesh stated that they did not say anything derogatory about him. “If he truly is a servant, then demonstrate it through public service. Fulfil the responsibility you’ve been given in hospitals. Proper treatment is not being provided in government hospitals today. If he is indeed a servant, let him prove it,” he said.
