The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad staged a protest on Wednesday against the increasing crimes against women. The activists of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad said that the situation regarding crimes in Rajasthan during the previous Congress government was dire, and even after the change in government, the situation remains the same.

Criminals in the state are fearlessly committing crimes like rape and murder against women. There is no district left in the state where incidents of women’s violence and rape are not occurring. If the government does not take strict action against rising crimes soon, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad will protest against the government across the state.
Rohit Meena, the unit president of ABVP at Rajasthan University, stated that although the government has changed in Rajasthan, there has been no control over crimes. Incidents of rape with women in hospitals are happening under the BJP rule. Incidents of rape are occurring openly, such as the case of a girl being raped while returning home from school in Bikaner. Incidents in Kotputli and Alwar make it clear that there is no fear of the police and the government among criminals in Rajasthan.

Meena said that he and the people of Rajasthan elected the Bharatiya Janata Party government so that strict action could be taken against rape and crimes that occurred during the Congress rule. But since the situation hasn’t changed in Rajasthan, today we protested at Rajasthan University demanding improvement in the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. If the Rajasthan government does not improve the deteriorating law and order situation, we will raise our voice against the government in the future as well.

Twinkle Sharma, the metropolitan minister of ABVP, said that ABVP had launched a justice march during the Congress rule, primarily demanding action against crimes against women and rape. Even after the change in government, atrocities against women are happening in Rajasthan. Criminals are fearlessly committing rape incidents. Incidents of rape and gang rape are occurring across Rajasthan, including Alwar, Kotputli, and Bikaner.

Twinkle questioned whether the Rajasthan government is sleeping, as criminals are fearlessly committing such incidents. The common people are forced to stay in their homes out of fear, while the BJP had promised to control criminals in its manifesto. But even after two and a half months, the situation has not changed, so now girls like us have to come to the streets and protest against the government.
