Aijaz Ahmed Khan, Vice President of the Apni Party and Former Minister, has called for a comprehensive revamp of developmental activities and the prompt release of pending pensions for pensioners in Reasi District and Ramban District of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a worker’s meeting at Jamslan in Mahore Sub-Division of Reasi District, Aijaz Ahmed Khan highlighted the pressing developmental and public issues facing the region. The meeting, attended by Provincial Vice President Haji Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, provided a platform to discuss these concerns in detail.

Expressing his apprehension over the sluggish pace of development, Aijaz Ahmed Khan urged authorities to expedite pending projects to ensure timely completion. He emphasized the importance of leveraging tourism potential to spur employment opportunities and uplift remote areas like Mahore and its surroundings in Reasi.

Aijaz Ahmed Khan stressed the involvement of public representatives in decision-making processes related to tourism and development initiatives in the region. He underscored the need to identify and promote new tourist spots to enhance the area’s attractiveness and economic viability.

Drawing attention to the challenges faced by Mahore residents, including unscheduled power cuts and inadequate road connectivity, Aijaz Ahmed Khan called for immediate electrification of villages without electricity and restoration of halted pension payments for pensioners

Expressing concern over the bureaucratic hurdles faced by pensioners, Aijaz Ahmed Khan urged authorities to streamline pension disbursement processes, ensuring ease of access for pensioners, particularly those facing health issues. Additionally, Aijaz Ahmed Khan appealed to authorities for the overall development of Reasi and equitable distribution of resources across the region.

Meanwhile, Haji Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, Provincial Vice President of the Apni Party, addressed the meeting, highlighting the longstanding development delays exacerbated by the postponement of assembly elections and statehood restoration in Jammu and Kashmir.
He expressed optimism that the Election Commission of India would address the pressing demand for polls in Jammu and Kashmir, enabling elected representatives to address development and employment issues effectively.
