In Haryana, the Congress has intensified the exercise for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024. The party is working on two fronts simultaneously. First, faces are being searched for all the ten seats in the Lok Sabha. The second work is going on for the formation of the organization. Leaders and workers are being asked about the post of District President. This exercise was started by the party’s Haryana affairs in-charge Deepak Babaria. In the first phase, he called the leaders of the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency in New Delhi for talks. More than 80 leaders of Faridabad met Babariya.
The important thing is that they are talking to everyone one-to-one. Babaria gave 5 to 10 minutes time to each leader for conversation. Among those who met him were present and former MPs, MLAs, leaders contesting elections, AICC members, delegates from State Congress, former district presidents, mayors and former mayors of municipal corporations, chairman and former chairman of Zilla Parishad, besides leading organizations–Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, Seva Dal and NSUI office bearers. Their dialogue continued till late night on Friday. In this episode, he will hold talks with the leaders of the Gurugram Parliament on Saturday. After this, next week, he will have a similar dialogue with the leaders of two more Lok Sabha constituencies.
The leaders involved in the conversation told that the in-charge is mainly taking feedback on two points. His first question was that which candidate for the Lok Sabha would be strong and winnable. that’s where the second question Regarding the District President. It may be mentioned here that the Congress organization has not been formed in Haryana for the last nine years. Shakti Singh, who was in charge before Deepak Babaria, had also started the exercise for the formation of the organization, but he was replaced even before the formation of the organization.
Now Babariya is collecting feedback from the leaders regarding the new organization so that the decision of the District President can be taken with everyone’s consent. It is certain from this exercise that the decision of the District President can be taken first. After this, the party can take a decision regarding the state executive and the block head. During the conversation with the leaders of Faridabad, apart from discussing these two questions, he also got to know their other suggestions and wishes. They were also noting down what all the leaders had said.Congress State President Chow Udaybhan also because he comes from this Parliament. That’s why he met the in-charge in the morning itself. He then returned to Palwal as former CM Bhupinder Hooda was scheduled to visit the flood-affected areas. He met MLA Neeraj Sharma, former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sharda Rathore, former MLAs Lalit Nagar and Raghubir Singh Tewatia, Vijay Pratap Singh, Sudhir Singla and others. However, like the BJP, now the Congress too has started chalking out a strategy for the Lok Sabha elections. Leaving some parliamentary seats, the Congress will have to field new faces.
