Alarmed by the Aam Aadmi Party’s roaring entry into Gujarat, the BJP government is reviewing the people-oriented decisions taken by the AAP government in Delhi and moving in the direction of benefiting the people in the fields of education, health and energy in the state. It is learned that the state government has instructed the education, energy and health departments to prepare a master plan.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has won the AAP candidate in Gujarat to contest the local body elections before the Assembly elections in Gujarat in December 2022. As a result, the BJP is more cautious about the AAP than the Congress. The BJP government of Gujarat and the organization have started preparations to counter the AAP factor to enter the assembly elections.

The Gujarat government is worried about anti-incumbency in the upcoming assembly elections. As a result, the state government has started reviewing the performance of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi to give you a run for its money. The Rupani government of Gujarat is also making special plans keeping in view the works done by the AAP government—which has been ruling Delhi for two consecutive terms—in the areas of education, health and energy.

A retired IAS or A level officer will be appointed as Lokpal in the state. Retired officers of the state, who have served in a high position for a long time, may be appointed as officers who are familiar with the government process. However, some fear retired officials may also favor the government. Once the government’s proposal is approved, the structure and rules of the district level ombudsman’s office will be worked out.

The health infrastructure in the state is slowly getting stronger and now the government has undertaken a new project to start Deendayal Clinic in the form of Maholla Clinic which will start in Rajkot city, where 67 clinics will be started simultaneously. According to Deputy Municipal Commissioner Ashish Kumar, Deendayal Clinic will be started in areas of the city like Raiadhar, Bhagwatipara, Kubliapara, Junction-Santoshinagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Bhimnagar Jivraj Park, and District Garden, where there is no government health center or government hospital in an area of one kilometer.

Private doctors will be hired to start Deendayal Clinic. If the doctor is an MBBS doctor, he will be given Rs 30,000 per month and if he is an AYUSH i.e. BHMS doctor, he will be given a monthly allowance of Rs 23,000. The allowance includes a doctor as well as a paramedical staff. The system will provide space, furniture, and medicines while the doctor will have to use the necessary equipment including a stethoscope.
