According to a news statement from the Lieutenant Governor’s office, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena assessed the status of civic infrastructure projects and preparations for the next G-20 Summit in the capital on Monday.

On Monday, Saxena presided over a meeting of District Monitoring Committee heads. The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary, the Chairman of the NDMC, the VC, the DDA, the Principal Secretary (PWD), the Principal Secretary (E&F), and senior officials from other stakeholder agencies.

The recent rains and flooding have hampered the completion of operations and caused significant damage to already finished works, particularly in the Central District along Ring Road or Yamuna and the Samadhi Complex, according to the press release.
