Dr. Pawan Kotwal, the Advisor to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, UT Ladakh, led a crucial meeting to address key issues pertaining to the implementation of the Vibrant Village Program. The focus of the discussion was on propelling sustainable development in the Changthang region, with special attention to proposals requiring consideration by the High-Power Committee chaired by the Union Home Secretary. The meeting took place at the Civil Secretariat in Leh.
The deliberations encompassed a detailed review of proposed initiatives, the identification of challenges, and the exploration of opportunities aimed at fostering sustainable development in the Changthang region. A central aspect of the meeting was pinpointing proposals that necessitate intervention from the High-Power Committee, adding a strategic layer to the ongoing initiatives.
Advisor Dr. Pawan Kotwal issued directives to all officers, underscoring the importance of identifying proposals that require the attention of the High-Power Committee. Officers were further instructed to submit and upload these identified proposals onto the National Portal within the next two days, ensuring swift and efficient communication.
The meeting witnessed the active participation of Commissioner Secretaries, Administrative Secretaries, Deputy Commissioner of Leh, Directors, Heads of Departments (HoDs), and relevant officers. Additionally, the Joint Director of Information, Director of Rural Development Department, Director of Sheep and Animal Department, joined the meeting virtually, reflecting a collaborative effort in advancing the Vibrant Village Program for sustainable development in Ladakh.
