A new government is soon to be formed in Rajasthan. However, even before this, the administration has started preparations for the budget at its level. Although this time there is a possibility that the budget will be presented by March. Last time, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot presented the budget on February 10. However, this time, due to the arrival of the new government, the budget may be presented in the Legislative Assembly a month late.
The Finance Department has fixed the time for meetings on the revised estimates for the ongoing financial year and the upcoming budget. In this way, all provisions related to the departmental budget can be finalised on time. These meetings will continue from December 26 to January 15.
According to the order issued by the Finance Department, the meeting of the Fisheries Department has been scheduled for December 26 at 12 pm. After that, the Art and Culture meeting is on December 27, the PHED and Groundwater Department on December 28, Police Department on December 29. Similarly, the Transport Department’s meeting is on January 2, State Excise on January 3, Revenue Board on January 4, Registration on January 5, Mines on January 8, Petroleum on January 8, Forest Department on January 9, PWD and Housing on January 10, UDH, LSG and JDA on January 11, Commercial Tax on January 12, and Jal Sansadhan Vibhag on January 15, for the upcoming budget.
