On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, the makers of “Adipurush” revealed a fresh poster featuring Prabhas, Sunny Singh, Devdatta Nage, and Kriti Sanon.
Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’ is a contemporary retelling of the timeless epic, Ramayana. The poster showcases Prabhas as Raghav, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, Sunny Singh as Shesh, and Devdatta Nage in a subservient pose as Bajrang. The leading actors shared the poster on their individual Instagram accounts on Thursday, with Prabhas captioning it, “Mantron se badhke tera naam Jai Shri Ram…”
The film’s narrative follows Raghava on a journey to Lanka with his army, including Laxman and Hanuman, to save his wife Janaki from Lankesh, her abductor. Saif Ali Khan portrays the character of Lankesh.
The ‘Adipurush’ teaser premiered on October 2 alongside the Sarayu River in the sacred city of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, with fans and media in attendance. Boasting a massive budget of Rs. 500 crores, the film is anticipated to be a visual feast. However, the teaser faced criticism from netizens for its VFX.
T Series and Retrophiles are producing ‘Adipurush,’ a grand Indian film that promises to be a visual spectacle. It will be available in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. In other news, Prabhas will appear in ‘Salaar’ alongside Shruti Haasan, and in ‘Project K’ with Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani in key roles. Additionally, he is collaborating with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for ‘Spirit,’ Maruthi, and ‘RRR’ producer DVV Danayya for a supernatural action-thriller.
