The hit-and-run case in Jaipur has taken a sinister turn as investigations reveal that the accused, Mangesh Aroda, allegedly involved in crushing a young woman with a car, has connections to notorious gangster Ritesh Boxer.
The police’s initial findings indicate that Mangesh, the prime suspect in the hit-and-run, has ties to the gangster and was previously questioned in connection with a firing incident at the J-Club in December 2022, where Ritesh Boxer was the mastermind.
Originally from Haryana, Mangesh Aroda operates a clothing showroom in Mansarovar, Jaipur. The incident occurred when Mangesh, along with the injured Rajkumar and the deceased Uma, was returning from a birthday party at another club. The police are actively searching for the accused, conducting raids in Jaipur, Ajmer, and Haryana, but Mangesh remains at large even 24 hours after the incident.
The shocking incident, captured on video and circulating on social media, has sparked public outrage, leading to demands for swift action from the state government and Rajasthan police. The footage shows Mangesh allegedly crushing the young man and woman with his car. Users on social media are expressing concerns about the prevalence of drug abuse and incidents related to parties in clubs, urging authorities to address the issue.
The sequence of events leading to the tragic hit-and-run involves Mangesh and his female friend, Shreya Bhardwaj, making inappropriate comments about Uma Suthar during a party at a club on Tonk Road. Subsequently, a scuffle broke out at the Everland Vish Hotel, where Rajkumar and Uma were dining.
After being asked to leave, Mangesh and Shreya engaged in a brawl outside the hotel. The police alerted to the situation, reached the spot and gathered CCTV footage as part of their investigation. The police are currently searching for both Mangesh Aroda and Shreya Bhardwaj based on a report filed by Rajkumar Jat.
