Last June, Akshay announced the fifth installment of the successful comedy series ‘Housefull’. He took to Instagram to reveal the poster of ‘Housefull 5’, captioning it, “Get ready for five times the madness! Presenting #SajidNadiadwala’s #Housefull5 Directed by @tarun_mansukhani. Catch it in cinemas on Diwali 2024!”
‘Housefull 5’ is the first Indian film franchise to reach five installments. It all began with ‘Housefull’ in 2010, featuring stars like Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal, and Boman Irani. The movie was a big hit, followed by ‘Housefull 2’ in 2012, which also did well with actors such as Akshay, Riteish, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, and others. Both movies were directed by Sajid Khan. However, the third film, released in 2016, had a different director. The fourth part, a comedy about reincarnation, was directed by Farhad Samji. Now, ‘Housefull 5’ is in the works, directed by Tarun Mansukhani.
