After forming the government in Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party came to Rajasthan with great enthusiasm. However, even before the election results, the party seems to be proving a failure. The excessive enthusiasm for winning in Punjab has been so overwhelming on the party that the leaders of the party in Rajasthan were not given attention. The situation became such that the new leaders did not join the party, and some old leaders either distanced themselves from the party or the party showed the way out to some leaders. Meanwhile, disgruntled workers with state leadership revolted against the party. The party wanted to try to bring together prominent leaders disgruntled with the BJP and Congress before the elections, but the state leadership did not want leaders bigger than them to join the party.
In the end, even the big leaders fielded by Aam Aadmi Party to contest elections started stepping back. The leaders who had laid the foundation of the Aam Aadmi Party are saying that the party has already failed in Rajasthan before the election results. The party is not visible even in the situation of cutting votes, let alone winning.
The State President of AAP did not contest the election
Not only this, the State President of the party, Navin Paliwal, did not contest from any constituency. The reason was clear that he himself knew that the party was going through a weak phase. The situation became such that the party released a long list of star campaigners. However, these tours could not be executed. Only Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann reached for a roadshow in Delhi. Apart from this, most of the other star campaigners did not tour.
Rajendra Kedia welcomed two big leaders, both stepped back before the elections
In recent days, the party made Rajendra Kedia join the post of Senior State President. After this, Kedia conducted tours of several places and welcomed Umardaraj and Pappu Qureshi, who have been four-time councillors from Congress in Jaipur. Pappu Qureshi was made a candidate from Hawa Mahal and Umardaraj was made a candidate from Adarsh Nagar. However, after the last date of withdrawal of nominations, when their names were included in the final list of candidates, then after that both, on the advice of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, supported Congress candidates. In this situation, both the candidates did not listen to the leaders of AAP.
The party came back foot after Kejriwal was summoned by the ED
The central investigation agency ED had sent a summons to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for questioning in the money laundering case related to the Delhi liquor scam. Since then, the party has moved further back in the Rajasthan elections. This step of the ED has come at a time when the Supreme Court has dismissed the appeals of regular bail of Delhi’s former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in the same case, stating that in the case, the transfer of Rs 338 crore has been confirmed temporarily.
Claim to reduce 200 seats to only 86 candidates
It should be noted that the State Charge of the Aam Aadmi Party, Navin Mishra, claimed to contest elections on 200 seats. In the enthusiasm of winning in Punjab, the leadership could not succeed in establishing the organization in the state. In this situation, only 86 candidates were fielded in the field. Even among them, Pappu Qureshi and Umardaraj supported Congress candidates just a few days before the election after their names were included in the final list of candidates.
