The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has unveiled its list of Lok Sabha candidates for Punjab, covering all 13 seats up for grabs in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The announcement was made on Tuesday via the party’s official Twitter handle.

The list features Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar for Ferozpur, Amansher Singh for Gurdaspur, Pawan Kumar Tinu for Jalandhar SC, and Ashok Parashar Papi for Ludhiana. Notably, Tinu, a former leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), recently switched allegiance to AAP.
Earlier, in March, the party had announced Gurpreet Singh GP, a former Congress member, as its candidate for Fatehgarh Sahib, while Punjabi actor Karamjeet Anmol was nominated for the Faridkot seat.

The AAP is competing in Punjab without forming any alliances, independently contesting under the opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc.

The polling for Punjab’s 13 parliamentary seats is scheduled to take place in the final phase on June 1.

This announcement comes amidst AAP national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s detention in Tihar jail due to his alleged involvement in the Delhi excise policy scam. On Monday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Kejriwal in jail.
