Dr. Sushil Gupta, the state president of the Aam Aadmi Party, while supporting the farmers’ Delhi march, said that the country’s farmers want to come to Delhi, but the Khattar government wants to stop them. The Aam Aadmi Party stands shoulder to shoulder with the farmers of the state. He said that the Haryana Police have threatened farmer leaders to stay away from the agitation. Notices have been sent to prevent participation in the agitation, and threats have also been made to confiscate property in case of any damage. The Aam Aadmi Party will not allow any injustice to be done to the farmers.
He said that Prime Minister Modi had promised to double the income of the farmers, but in 10 years, the work of doubling the debt of the farmers has been done. Neither do farmers get compensation nor do they get the rate for their crops in the Khattar government. The Prime Minister promised to repeal the black laws and make MSP law while abolishing the laws, but there has been no mention of MSP in Parliament till date.
He said that the Aam Aadmi Party supports the farmers’ agitation starting from February 13. Everyone has the right to protest in a democracy. Farmers have the right to struggle for their rights without any fear.
The Khattar government wants to stop the farmers from going to Delhi. No excess of the government towards the farmers will be tolerated.
