In a significant development, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has declared its candidates for two key constituencies in Punjab. Raj Kumar Chabbewal has been nominated for Hoshiarpur, while Malwinder Kang has been chosen for Anandpur Sahib.
This announcement marks the party’s selection of candidates for a total of 10 seats. However, the AAP faced a setback as one of its candidates, Sushil Kumar Rinku, defected to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Meanwhile, the party is yet to unveil its candidates for Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Ferozepur, and Gurdaspur. This delay follows Rinku’s departure from the party, necessitating a reconsideration of its strategy in those constituencies.
