Actor Aamir Khan has extended his support to the families affected by a recent catastrophe in Himachal Pradesh, which resulted in devastating landslides, widespread damage, and the collapse of several buildings. He generously donated Rs 25 lakh to the Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023 as a charitable gesture to aid the families affected by this disaster. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed profound gratitude to Aamir Khan for his invaluable support and emphasized that this assistance would greatly contribute to relief and rehabilitation efforts for those affected by the disaster. The Chief Minister assured that the funds would be wisely utilized to reach those in dire need, acknowledging that Aamir Khan’s noble gesture would make a significant difference in the lives of those adversely affected by the monsoon fury in the state.
Persistent rainfall in Himachal Pradesh has resulted in multiple landslides and cloudbursts in various areas. Returning to Aamir Khan’s work, his production, “Laapataa Ladies,” directed by Kiran Rao, received a positive response at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). “Laapataa Ladies” features Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan in leading roles. The film had its grand premiere at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 8. Set in 2001, in rural India, “Laapataa Ladies” follows the comedic chaos that unfolds when two young brides become separated from a train. Presented by Jio Studios, “Laapataa Ladies” is co-produced by Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande.
