A criminal involved in three cases of brutal murders by repeatedly stabbing the victims has been arrested by Delhi police from Saurabh Vihar. One semi-automatic pistol of .32 calibre with two live cartridges has been recovered from his possession.
The information was received by Inspector Ishwar Singh about the hiding of Suresh Tiwari in South-East Delhi. “A team led by SI Aditya consisting of SI Satvinder, Hc Amit, Ct. Sachin, Ct. Mohit, Ct. Amir was deputed to gather information regarding absconding Suresh Tiwari in Saurabh Vihar, Jaitpur Delhi area,” Press statement read.
Police had made regressive efforts to reach the criminal and had used many ploys to track and nab the criminal.
“Efforts of more than one and a half months succeeded when it was found that Suresh Tiwari was residing in a rented house in the area of PS Jaitpur. Discreet surveillance was mounted in the area. Specific information was received on 27.12.2021 that Suresh Tiwari would come to Lavkush Chowk, Saurabh Vihar between 4 to 5 PM and he will be in possession of a pistol, a team was formed and deployed around Lavkush Chowk. At about 4.30 PM, Suresh Tiwari arrived at the spot and he was nabbed at the instance of the informer,” read the press release.
One Semi-automatic pistol of .32 bore with 02 live cartridges was recovered from him and seized. A case under Arms Act was registered in PS Special Cell in this regard.
Arrested Suresh Tiwari was previously found involved in 03 cases of brutal murder by repeatedly stabbing his three victims. Presently he was absconding in a case of murder for extortion cum robbery in the area of PS Riwilganj, Bihar.
On 28.10.2021, Suresh Tiwari went to a clinic of a local doctor namely Prabhu Rai in Riwilganj area and demanded extortion of Rs 1 Lakh from him. When the doctor refused for paying extortion, Suresh Tiwari brutally stabbed him multiple times in his clinic. “Suresh Tiwari took away Rs 20,000 from his clinic. Prabhu Rai subsequently succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. After committing this murder, Suresh Tiwari came to Delhi and started residing in Jaitpur area,” the press release stated.
On 18.04.2016 Suresh Tiwari had stabbed his own brother namely Mukesh Tiwari on the day of his marriage in their village when the bride had just stepped into the house of the bridegroom. In another case, Suresh Tiwari had fatally stabbed one Sudhar Rai on the issue of division of money made from gambling in the year 2005.
