Amber Heard On Media Bias Amid Blake Lively’s Allegations

Actress Amber Heard has provided her views on the interference of media manipulation and shaping public opinion following the incidents with Blake Lively targeting harassment and revenge against Justin Baldoni. In an interview, Heard, who well understands what legal and public battles in her life feel like, shares her opinion on such cases.

“A lie travels halfway around the world before truth can get its boots on,” Heard said, speaking about her own experiences with disinformation and media scrutiny. “Social media is the absolute personification of the classic saying,” she continued. The 37-year-old actress, who currently lives in Spain, underlined how damaging social media can be when spreading misleading information.

Heard’s statements align with her observations in the defamation trial of her ex-husband Johnny Depp, where social media had a significant impact on public opinion. Her observations also parallel Blake Lively‘s claims against Justin Baldoni in the It Ends With Us film of sexual harassment and a plotted attempt to harm her reputation.

Interestingly, Baldoni had hired crisis PR expert Melissa Nathan in 2023, who previously worked for Johnny Depp’s legal team during his case against Heard. Nathan, now at the centre of Lively’s allegations, is accused of coordinating a “social manipulation” strategy to harm Lively’s reputation.

Heard’s statement highlights the broader issue of media narratives being weaponized, especially in high-profile disputes. Her remarks underscore the challenges individuals face in navigating public scandals, adding a reflective and human dimension to the ongoing discourse surrounding Lively’s legal battle with Baldoni.
