It’s Christmas Eve 2024, and as families across the globe celebrate the magical festival, one question is buzzing in households—especially among children: Where is Santa Claus, and how will he reach their home? For kids in the UK, Heathrow Airport has provided a delightful answer.

On Tuesday, December 24, Heathrow Airport shared a festive video on its Instagram account, showcasing its flight information display system (FIDS). The display revealed that Santa Claus, the iconic figure in a red suit with a white beard, is set to land in London from the North Pole at midnight. Alongside Santa, the names of his trusty reindeer—Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolph—were also listed.

The video caption read: “SANTA1 is scheduled to arrive at #Heathrow. Our Christmas day arrivals board is LIVE across terminals, marking Santa and his reindeer’s magical stop on their global journey.”

Adding to the charm, Heathrow issued an adorable passenger advisory: “Please keep your carrots with you at all times. Unattended carrots may be sniffed and eaten.”

Adding a humorous twist, a third user joked about potential delays for Santa Claus: “They’re still going to get processed through Terminal 5. Expect delays.”

Merry Christmas

Heathrow Airport has introduced several festive additions across its terminals to spread holiday cheer among visitors.

A giant polar bear named Bjorn has been installed, providing passengers with a perfect photo opportunity. Adding to the merriment, ‘The Jingle Belles’—a quartet known for their holiday harmonies—have been performing to serenade travelers. To make the season even more convenient, the airport has also set up a complimentary gift-wrapping station, ensuring last-minute presents are beautifully packaged for loved ones.
