Paul McCartney’s “Got Back” tour finale at London’s O2 Arena turned into an unforgettable evening with a surprise reunion. Ringo Starr, the legendary Beatles drummer, joined McCartney on stage, creating a moment of pure nostalgia for fans.

The 84-year-old Starr expressed his excitement to be part of the event, sharing his heartfelt appreciation with the audience. The duo then performed a medley of classic Beatles tracks, including “Helter Skelter” and “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” bringing an authentic Beatles energy to the show. Starr’s spirited drumming and presence lit up the stage, much to the crowd’s delight.

Before leaving, Starr thanked fans, adding warmth to the historic evening. This marked another memorable collaboration between the two since their previous reunion during McCartney’s “Freshen Up” tour in 2018-19.

Adding to the night’s magic, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood made a guest appearance, teaming up with McCartney for “Get Back.” The event became even more special when McCartney played his original Hofner bass. This iconic instrument, used in recording hits like “Love Me Do” and “She Loves You,” had been missing since 1969 and was stolen in 1972. Following decades of mystery, the bass was recovered earlier this year and returned to McCartney in February.

McCartney, 82, opened the show with “A Hard Day’s Night” and treated the audience to a setlist of nearly 40 Beatles classics, making the evening a celebration of music history and unforgettable performances.
