Accusations Against the Alexander Brothers
Oren, Alon, and Tal Alexander have been accused of engaging in sex trafficking and drug abuse for more than a decade. According to federal prosecutors, the brothers used “deception, fraud, and coercion” to manipulate women into attending events or parties, often promising romantic relationships or covering their travel expenses. Once at these events, victims were reportedly drugged and sexually assaulted, with some being physically restrained and unable to escape due to the drugs administered to them.
The brothers, well-known for their high-end real estate dealings in New York and Miami, have been facing multiple allegations of rape and sexual assault since June. While Oren and Tal have been implicated in criminal charges, Alon is facing civil allegations of sexual misconduct, Bloomberg reported.
Drugging Victims and Using Dating Apps
According to the indictment, the Alexander brothers often met their victims through dating apps, social events, and bars. They also employed party promoters to help find women. Prosecutors noted that women were given drugs like cocaine, psychedelic mushrooms, and GHB, which caused them to lose control of their bodies, making it impossible for them to resist or escape the assaults.
In some disturbing instances, the indictment claims the brothers physically restrained their victims while raping them and ignored their desperate pleas for the assaults to stop. One case from December 2016, involving a woman invited to a barbecue at Alon Alexander’s Miami Beach apartment, has been described as a “gang rape” by Florida prosecutors. The victim found herself alone with the Alexander brothers and another relative, after being told that other guests would be present.
Investigations and Further Victims Expected
US Attorney Damian Williams stated that this conduct was “heinous” and confirmed that the investigation was ongoing. Prosecutors have hinted that further charges may be filed as additional victims could come forward. “They were not acting alone. We will continue investigating,” Williams said at a news conference.
Bail Denied and Flight Risk Concerns
In a separate plea, federal prosecutors in New York and Miami requested that the Alexander brothers be denied bail, citing their wealth and connections as significant flight risks. The brothers are known to have extensive ties in the real estate world, making their release a serious concern for authorities. Prosecutors also noted that the brothers had reportedly engaged in sexual violence since high school, according to statements filed as part of the bail request.
Real Estate Empire in Shambles
The charges against the Alexander brothers have rocked their real estate empire. The brothers, who co-founded the brokerage firm “Official” in 2022, have been forced to step down following the allegations. The company has since lost several key projects and staff members. The Alexander brothers first gained prominence working with real estate giant Douglas Elliman, brokering high-profile deals for celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Tommy Hilfiger, and Liam Gallagher.
The arrest of Oren, Alon, and Tal Alexander has sent shockwaves through both the real estate world and the wider public. With the investigation still ongoing, the full extent of their alleged crimes may soon come to light, and more victims could emerge as the case continues to unfold.
