The IPL 2025 Auction in Jeddah concluded with Day 2 delivering thrilling moments as franchises finalized their squads. A total of 180 players were sold for a staggering ₹639.15 crore across the auction.

Teenage Crorepati

The highlight of the day was 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, snapped up by Rajasthan Royals for ₹1.1 crore. The Bihar-born prodigy was just a dreamer when RR won their maiden IPL title in 2008.

Bowlers Hit Jackpot

Seasoned pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar rejoined Royal Challengers Bengaluru for ₹10.75 crore, marking a homecoming after his stint with RCB in 2009-2010. Mukesh Kumar stayed with Delhi Capitals for ₹6.5 crore, while Mumbai Indians secured Deepak Chahar for ₹9.25 crore.

Lucknow Super Giants bagged Akash Deep for ₹8 crore and retained M Siddharth under ₹1 crore. Mumbai also landed Afghan bowler Allah Ghanzafar for ₹4.8 crore, with CSK picking Anshul Kamboj for ₹3.4 crore.

Reunion and Transfers

Mumbai Indians bought former RCB batter Will Jacks for ₹5.35 crore, while RCB added ex-MI all-rounder Tim David for ₹3 crore. Players like Devdutt Padikkal and Reece Topley also found new homes, alongside veterans Ajinkya Rahane and Moeen Ali at KKR.

The stage is now set for a blockbuster IPL 2025 season.
