Israel’s defense ministry announced Thursday that it had signed a $5.2 billion agreement with Boeing to purchase 25 next-generation F-15 fighter jets, financed by US military aid. The deal includes an option for an additional 25 jets, with deliveries set to begin in 2031. The aircraft will be delivered in batches of four to six annually.

Defense Ministry Director General Eyal Zamir emphasized the strategic significance of this acquisition, noting that the new F-15s, alongside Israel’s previously procured F-35s, would significantly enhance the country’s air power.
