In a sweeping speech on Friday, former President Donald Trump launched a sharp critique of Vice President Kamala Harris, labeling her a “low-IQ person” with “disastrous” economic policies that he warned could lead the country to a “1929-style depression.”
Speaking at a campaign rally in Detroit, Michigan—a crucial battleground state where he plans to hold his final rally on Monday night—Trump pledged to save the economy “from total obliteration” and outlined his vision to “build American, buy American, and hire American.”
“We will end Kamala’s economic disaster and launch a brand-new Trump economic miracle,” he declared. Trump asserted that Harris’s economic agenda had recently led to the loss of nearly 30,000 private sector jobs and over 50,000 manufacturing jobs in a short span, adding, “You lost 50,000 manufacturing jobs.” He claimed that under Harris’s “nation-wrecking policies, the American worker is absolutely drowning.”
Promising to “stop the criminal invasion of the country” and lead America into a “new golden age,” he further described Harris as a “radical left Marxist” and claimed she was worse than Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. According to Trump, Harris was instrumental in the creation of the “Defund the Police” movement, which he deemed unworthy of any presidential candidate.

“Kamala vowed to abolish ICE, pledged to confiscate your guns… and even called for free sex changes for illegal aliens in detention, all at taxpayer expense. But perhaps most significant of all, she lied about working at McDonald’s. She never worked there,” Trump claimed.
He vowed, “With your vote this November, we’re going to fire Kamala and we’re going to save America. We will cut your taxes, end inflation, lower prices, raise wages, and bring back thousands of factories to America and to Detroit, Michigan.”
Trump also stated he would end the war in Ukraine, asserting, “It would never have started if I were president.” He promised to restore stability in the Middle East, prevent World War III, and ensure police receive the resources, support, and respect they need.
“We will strengthen and modernise our military and build the world’s largest missile defence shield, made right here in the USA—much of it in Michigan,” he declared. He also committed to revitalizing cities like Washington, D.C., making them “safe, clean, and beautiful again.”
Trump promised that children would be taught to love their country, respect its history, and honor the American flag. He proposed making flag-burning punishable by a year in jail, stating, “We will get critical race theory and gender ideology out of our schools, and we’ll keep men out of women’s sports.” He also vowed to defend religious liberty and uphold free speech.
He emphasized his commitment to the Second Amendment, promising to protect Americans’ right to bear arms. “After years of building up foreign nations, protecting foreign borders, and defending foreign lands, we are finally going to build up our own country, defend our own borders, and protect our own citizens,” he said.
“We will stop illegal immigration once and for all. We will not be invaded, overrun, or occupied. We will be a free, proud nation once again. Everyone will prosper, every family will thrive, and each day will be filled with opportunity and hope—above all, with the American Dream,” Trump concluded.
