Israel cripples Iran’s missile capabilities: Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel’s recent airstrike on Iranian targets was “precise and powerful,” achieving its intended objectives. The strike came in retaliation for Iran’s October 1 missile attack on Israel, which saw over 200 ballistic missiles launched, causing minor damage but raising regional tensions significantly. According to reports, Israel targeted Iran’s missile production infrastructure, severely affecting its ability to manufacture long-range ballistic missiles and incapacitating critical air defence systems, leaving Iran’s military assets vulnerable to future strikes.

Satellite images show that the Israeli strike inflicted considerable damage on two key Iranian facilities: the Parchin military base, linked to past nuclear weapons research, and Khojir, associated with ballistic missile development. Analysts suggest the damage could take years for Iran to recover, potentially altering its strategic capabilities in the region. This strike underscores Israel’s determination to weaken Iran’s military power while avoiding targets that could further escalate regional tensions, like nuclear or civilian energy facilities.
