Another shocker for Prem Garg, AAP’s State Joint Secretary resigns

In a major setback to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its Panchkula assembly candidate Prem Garg, Yogeshwar Sharma, the state joint secretary and member National council from AAP Haryana on Wednesday resigned from all the posts of the party here.
Yogeshwar Sharma, resident of sector 17 here, was one of AAP’s foundingmembers from the city and was strongest claimant of party ticket from here. Since declaration of Prem Garg candidature, he had distanced himself from the party as well as its activities here. He had not yet joined any election campaign so far.
‘I have devoted 10-12 years to the (Aam Aadmi) party and even after investing crores, the party fails to give respect to its senior leaders. During important events, BJP and Congress are given more importance than us, the action alone speaks a lot.’ Said Yogeshwar Sharma.
According to Sharma, even though he has not joined any political party yet but he is soon to join one.
According to information, Sharma is not the only office bearer from Panchkula who has put in the papers. Earlier Ranjit Uppal, the district AAP president has resigned to join BJP and this was followed by resignation by many other office bearers including Anil Pangotra, Nandana Sahota, Deepika Sehdev, Tejinder Bagga, who either joined hands with Congress or BJP.
‘There was a major unrest among leaders and workers in party. All of us have been working for a long time and we were enthusiastic about the elections. But ever since the Panchkula candidature has been announced things have gone south in the party. The party stopped giving us respect, no matter how hard we worked.’ Said Deepika Sehdev, former AAP Women Vice-President who joined BJP, a few days ago.
Upon enquiring Prem Garg, the AAP Panchkula candidate, he expressed ignorance on Sharma’s exodus from the party. ‘

From what I know, he (Sharma) was looking after his ill father-in-law and was currently in Patiala.’ Said Prem Garg.
