Mobile Internet Services Halted in Jharkhand for JGGLCCE to Ensure Exam Integrity

Mobile internet services will be suspended across Jharkhand for over five hours on both September 21 and 22 to ensure a fair and transparent administration of the Jharkhand General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (JGGLCCE). The suspension will be in effect from 8 AM to 1:30 PM each day.

An official statement explained that this measure is aimed at preventing malpractice during the exams. Previous incidents have shown that some individuals have used mobile applications, including Facebook, WhatsApp, X (Twitter), Telegram, and YouTube, which require internet connectivity, to engage in unfair practices.

The Jharkhand government is committed to eliminating any potential loopholes in the examination process that could undermine public trust and lead to law and order issues. The statement emphasized that after careful consideration, it has been deemed both prudent and necessary to temporarily disable mobile internet, mobile data, and Wi-Fi during the examination hours.

The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission will conduct the exams at 823 centers, expecting approximately 6.4 lakh candidates to participate.
